About the Role:
Beam is looking for a strategic brand leader to own how we are positioned, talked about, and perceived in the world. Reporting to the VP of Brand & Creative, you will build the strategic infrastructure that makes Beam’s creative vision land in market. This is a high-impact role for someone who operates at the intersection of brand strategy, communications, and growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Product Positioning: In close partnership with product and marketing teams, define and maintain how each Beam product is messaged and differentiated across all touchpoints.
- Product Marketing: Own the launch strategy and go-to-market planning for new products.
- Brand Marketing: Lead brand campaigns and initiatives that drive awareness and affinity
- PR & Earned Media: Build Beam’s PR function from the ground up. Develop media relationships, manage agency partners, and drive coverage
- Organic Social: Lead content planning and channel direction to keep the brand present and authentic, separate from paid efforts.
- Branded Partnerships & Events: Identify and manage brand partnerships based on strategic fit, audience overlap, and cultural relevance. Oversee event marketing strategy, from owned activations to partner and sponsorship opportunities that put Beam in front of the right audiences.
- Rebrand Testing & Rollout: Partner with the VP of Brand & Creative to support any rebrand efforts, including message testing, stakeholder alignment, phased rollout planning, and ensuring consistency across channels during the transition.
Who You Are:
- 8+ years in brand strategy, brand marketing, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a senior or director-level role
- Strong grasp of product positioning and messaging, with the ability to translate product benefits into clear, compelling narratives
- Experience building or managing a PR function, with existing media relationships and a track record of driving earned coverage
- Fluent in organic social as a brand channel, with a point of view on how brands show up authentically in culture
- A natural instinct for guiding copywriting and messaging
- Experience leading brand campaigns from brief through execution and measurement
- Background in consumer products, wellness, CPG, or high-growth DTC preferred
- Highly collaborative, with strong communication skills and comfort presenting to senior stakeholders
- A builder mentality, comfortable with ambiguity and energized by creating structure from scratch
